All church music should lift us up and so here at Oldham Seventh-day Adventist church when considering music, we apply certain principles.  As the music plays a significant part in our church services, we choose music that glorifies and testifies of God (1 Corinthians 10:31).  Secondly, we believe that everything we do should be true, noble, just, pure, lovely and virtuous therefore this applies to our music (Philippians 4:8).  Finally, our prayer and hope is that whatever we sing or listen to, that it is acceptable in God’s sight (Psalm 19:14).
